Multi Studio Concept
Multi Studio is used when more than one Power Studio instance participates in one coordinated station workflow.
Core Idea
One instance acts as the central playout node. Other instances can connect as slave studio nodes. The setup helps the station coordinate which studio is active, how playout control moves, and how external routing or control systems should follow that state.
This is not only a Power Studio setting. A reliable multi-studio setup also depends on:
- stable computer names or IP planning;
- matching Power Studio versions;
- correct
configPostFixvalues when several instances run on one computer; - firewall rules and network or VPN reliability;
- external routing or hardware logic that uses the active studio state.
Practical Model
Treat Multi Studio as a coordination layer over an already working station. First make sure each instance can use the database, audio paths, local routes and permissions correctly. Then add central/slave coordination.
