Voice Tracking And Remote Work

Voice tracking lets presenters record links before broadcast. The result should sound like a live transition even though the presenter recorded it earlier.

Voice Tracks

A voice track belongs to a transition in a playlist. The presenter records while listening to the surrounding audio so the spoken link matches the timing, energy and intro of the next item.

The Mix Editor is the main workspace for this. It lets the presenter record, review, adjust and save transitions.

Remote Work

Remote voice tracking has one extra requirement: the remote workstation must be able to play the required station audio reliably while the presenter records.

Common approaches are:

  • Power Sync, where required audio is synchronized to the remote location.
  • VPN with Local Asset Cache, where the workstation connects to the station database and shared audio path while caching audio locally.

Do not start a full remote session until one test transition records, saves and plays back correctly.
