XKeys Control

Use the XKeys Control plugin to operate Power Studio from an XKeys-24 keyboard.

The default mapping focuses on carts and Mix Editor controls.

Common Functions

The default XKeys-24 layout includes:

Key group	Function
Cart A keys	Trigger or select Cart A jingles.
Cart B keys	Trigger or select Cart B jingles.
Stop keys	Stop Cart A or Cart B.
Automation key	Toggle Automation and Live Assist.
Playlist key	Load the next playout playlist.
Mix navigation	Jump to the previous or next mix in the Mix Editor.
Mix transport	Save, stop, play or start the next item.
Recording	Toggle Mix Editor recording on or off.

Set cart play mode to Instant fire when the XKeys keyboard should immediately start cart audio.

After enabling the plugin, restart Power Studio and test the full keyboard layout.

Label the physical keys before live use. Operators should not need to remember key numbers during a show.
