Voices And Branches
Administrator task. Open System > Voices and branches. Keep the two lists distinct: a voice describes the speaker on material, while a branch describes a business sector.
Maintain Voices
- Under Voices, select Add voice....
- Enter a consistent name for the speaker and select Add.
- Open the relevant Spot or Promo and assign Voice, then save.
- Check campaigns using the material and inspect the resulting blocks.
The planner rejects a proposed main spot or tag on when its assigned voice matches the assigned voice of material already in the block. Unassigned voices do not provide that separation. Avoid duplicate names for the same speaker: two separate entries are different classifications even if the text looks similar.
Use the pencil icon to rename a voice and Save the change. Remove an unused entry with the cross and confirm. If deletion fails, check material that still refers to it.
Maintain Branches
- Under Branches, select Add branche....
- Enter a business sector, such as Cycles, and select Add.
- Set it as an account's Default branche if appropriate.
- Check the campaign's own Branche when selecting the account.
Two campaigns with the same assigned branch cannot share a commercial block. Campaigns without a branch do not gain sector separation automatically. Use a small, agreed vocabulary so that competing advertisers do not end up under separate, accidentally duplicated classifications.
The account's default is a convenience when selecting that account for a campaign. Changing it is not a bulk change to all existing campaigns. Check existing bookings explicitly.
Use the pencil icon and Save to rename an entry. Use the cross only after checking its use by accounts and campaigns.
Test A Classification Change
After changing assignments, inspect affected open schedules and any scheduling warnings. Editing a reference list is not itself proof that every existing placement has been recalculated. If a live booking needs correction, review and save the relevant Active campaign, then check the outcome.
