Creating And Copying Campaigns

Open Commercials > Campaigns. The list normally starts with Active and draft campaigns. Use All campaigns, Cancelled campaigns or Closed campaigns when looking for older work. An account selection can also restrict the list, especially after following Account campaigns... from an account.

Create A Campaign

  1. Select Add campaign....
  2. Enter Campaign name, choose Draft and select the intended Start date and End date. The end date cannot precede the start date.
  3. Choose Account and check Branche. Selecting an account can fill its default branch; confirm that the resulting classification is suitable for this campaign.
  4. Add one or more material rows as described below.
  5. Enter Number of commercials and choose Total, Day or Week in the adjacent dropdown.
  6. Review Position restriction, Week restriction, Repeat restriction, Dayparts, Allowed blocks and Spot planning strategy. See Scheduling Rules.
  7. Select the form's Add button, reopen the campaign and verify the saved values.
  8. When the brief and material are ready, change Status to Active, select Save and check notifications and schedules.

New campaign date controls do not offer dates before today. Use future dates for initial testing. Both the start and end dates are included in the campaign period.

Add Spots And Tag Ons

The material area has its own Add button, separate from the button that saves the whole campaign.

  1. Select the main material in Spot.
  2. Leave Tag on at -None-, or select a related second item.
  3. Select the nearby Add button.
  4. Verify the row in Spots. Repeat for other variants.
  5. Remove an unwanted row with its cross before saving the campaign.

An Active campaign must have at least one material row. The dropdown contains both Spots and Promos, but not Static items.

The main spot and its tag on form one campaign placement. The tag on also occupies a separate item position and contributes its own transition time to block capacity. It is placed later in the same block; do not assume it is always immediately adjacent to the main spot. Inspect the result if the creative brief depends on that arrangement.

When adding new placements, the planner divides the requested material across the available material rows. This does not define a fixed A-B-A-B sequence or guarantee equal lifetime totals after later edits. Review the resulting distribution before making commitments about individual variants.

Understand The Requested Count

Dropdown choiceCalculation of the campaign total
TotalUse the entered number directly.
DayMultiply the entered number by all calendar days from start through end.
WeekMultiply the entered number by the calendar-day count divided by seven, then round to a whole number.

For a seven-day campaign, 3 with Day produces a target of 21 main-spot placements. If you allow only Monday through Friday in Dayparts, the target is still 21; restricting days does not recalculate it to 15.

For a ten-day campaign, 14 with Week produces a target of 20. These options calculate a total; they are not hard daily or weekly quotas. Use the schedule and reports to verify the distribution and achievable count.

Copy An Existing Campaign

  1. Open the source campaign and select Copy campaign....
  2. Rename the copy; the proposed name ends in (Copy).
  3. Enter new dates and check Status before saving. Copying does not carry the original dates or downloaded count into the new campaign.
  4. Review the copied account, branch, material rows, count, restrictions and planning strategy.
  5. Save the copy as a Draft first, then activate after review.

Copying creates a separate campaign. Later changes to one campaign do not provide an instruction to update the other. For amendments to an existing booking, read Status And Campaign Changes.
