Status And Campaign Changes
Understand Status
| Status | Meaning in the workflow |
|---|---|
| Draft | Prepare and review the booking before submitting it for active planning. |
| Active | The campaign can be processed by the planner. Check the schedule for achieved placements. |
| Cancelled | Remove this campaign from open planning through background processing. Most fields are read-only while cancelled. |
| Closed | A completed-period campaign closed by background processing; the form is read-only. |
The status dropdown offers the transitions available for that campaign. Draft is no longer offered once campaign material has been downloaded. A Closed campaign cannot be reopened through this dropdown. Use Copy campaign... for a new booking.
Expired Active campaigns can become Closed when the background closure process runs. Do not interpret Closed as independent confirmation that every requested commercial was broadcast.
Change An Active Campaign
- Open the campaign and note Downloaded/played commercials.
- Establish which days or hours have already been obtained by playout. Coordinate with the studio before changing material that may be in use.
- Edit the required fields and select Save.
- Allow the background planner to process the update.
- Check notifications, the affected open schedules and the campaign reports.
The Start date is locked once there are downloaded main-spot placements. Reducing the requested count below material already downloaded cannot retract that material. Cancellation and replanning work on open schedules; do not expect them to rewrite files or playlists that have already been delivered.
Changing restrictions is also not a promise that every earlier placement will immediately move to a newly preferred position. Check the affected days and escalate an unexpected result rather than repeatedly saving without inspecting it.
Replace Campaign Material
Register or synchronize the replacement spot first and check its file, timing and voice. Open the campaign, remove the obsolete material row, add the replacement and select Save. Inspect newly planned material and the studio playlist separately.
Changing a library record or campaign row is not an instruction to replace a previously exported file at the studio. Agree how already obtained material will be corrected before the next affected block.
Cancel A Campaign
- Open the campaign and choose Cancelled in Status.
- Select Save.
- Check notifications and inspect future open schedules to confirm removal.
- Notify the studio through the station's normal handover process if it already holds affected schedules or playlists.
If a cancelled campaign needs to resume and Active is offered, select it and save, then review the newly planned result. Fields may remain read-only until the changed status has been saved and the campaign reopened.
Delete A Campaign
The list shows a delete cross only when no downloaded blocks contain its material. Use it for an unwanted campaign only after verifying that no historical record is needed, and confirm the prompt.
For a campaign that has already been downloaded, use Cancelled rather than looking for a delete control. Preserve the booking and reports needed by the station. Review Reports when reconciling changes with previously downloaded material.
