Downloading Schedules
Use manual schedule downloads when the station's playout workflow needs an exported schedule file. Power Studio can obtain blocks through its integration instead; agree with the studio which workflow is authoritative.
Downloading schedule files for playout, or letting Power Studio download the commercial blocks, marks those blocks as downloaded. They then count as aired in the Aired commercials overview, and further automatic planning changes can be limited.
Viewing or downloading a PDF report leaves the schedule's download status unchanged.
Export A Day
- Check that background campaign updates have finished and review the required day.
- Confirm with the studio which format it imports.
- On Schedule, use the download menu beside the day, or open the day and use Download.
- Select the agreed format and save the delivered file. Depending on the format, the result can be a single file or an archive containing separate schedule files.
- Import it using the studio's established procedure.
- Check the date, block positions, item order and actual file access in playout before relying on it.
The visible choices are Carmen Server, Dalet, M3U, PLS, Presto, RCS Traffic and Traffic 2000. Choosing an export format is not proof that a particular external application's configuration is compatible. Test the station's actual import route.
Exports carry schedule information and audio references. Do not assume they include the audio files themselves. Ensure every referenced file is already available where playout expects it.
After Downloading
Downloaded material appears in the report named Aired commercials overview rather than Planned commercials overview. The campaign's downloaded count can lock its start date and remove the Draft status option.
The background planner distinguishes open schedules from downloaded schedules. A later change to the campaign does not retract an existing export or guarantee that already obtained studio playlists change. For an urgent correction, coordinate directly with the studio, inspect the affected playlist and keep the corrected delivery under control.
The Power Studio integration can request an hour instead of a complete day. That request marks the returned hour/blocks and also records a download on the day. The planner uses the day's download status when deciding which days remain open, so even an hour request can prevent further automatic planning changes to that day. Avoid downloading far ahead simply to inspect a future booking.
For review-only output, use Reports.
