Application Overview
Power Studio is centered around the main window and its navigation bar. The navigation bar groups daily work into recognizable areas.
Main Areas
Tracks is where users search, manage, edit and preview assets such as music, jingles, promos and spots.
Playlist is where users manage Clock Formats, Day Formats and generated playlists.
Playout switches between Automation Mode, Live Assist Mode and Training Mode.
Windows opens on-air and production windows such as the Recorder, cart players, playout players, Mix Editor and playout playlist.
Maintenance contains administrator functions such as Options and Settings and Users and Permissions.
The clock area shows the current time and a countdown to the next playlist. This helps operators see whether the current hour is close to transition.
Back-Office And On-Air Work
Back-office work includes importing audio, maintaining metadata, designing Clock Formats, generating playlists, configuring users and enabling plugins. These tasks can affect future broadcasts and should normally be done by trained users.
On-air work includes loading the current playlist, starting players, using carts, recording voice tracks, previewing audio and responding to unexpected situations. On-air users need speed and clarity more than access to every setting.
Configuration
Most administrative settings are in Options and Settings. This includes audio routing, users, scheduler settings, plugins, Power Traffic integration and other station configuration.
Only grant access to Options and Settings to trusted administrators. Changes can affect on-air behavior.
The Configuration section explains the available settings pages and which changes should be treated as restart-sensitive.
